Grand Griffon Vendéen


Grand Griffon Vendéen dogs are smaller variation of the Briquet Griffon Vendéen a hunting dog originating in France. These dogs were first bred before World War I, Briquet Griffon Vendéen has a short head, low-set ears and a bushy coat.
The Grand Griffon Vendéen dog has a weight of 66-77 pounds and minimum height 23 1/2 inches. Their coat is hard and rough; never soft. Their coat's color is various shades of orange, gray, tawny, or black/tan, usually as spots on white background.
